It’s so hard to learn to see through the distortion - especially without doing trauma work. I was in a loop of being triggered by the distortion in such a way that I couldn’t even articulate what was happening that went on for maybe 15 years. Glad to be out of that cycle - and glad there are people to help others work through this.
