This is the first official episode of the Pretty Brilliant podcast!
Years ago, before I was visible on social media, before I was regularly on camera, I used podcasting as a personal practice. It was very cathartic for me, but at a certain point, I realized that If I wanted to grow, I needed to train myself to be seen so I stepped away from the mic and leaned into video.
Welp…it’s time for another evolution + this one is about building community and modeling new paradigms for interconnection and abundance.
Going forward, all of my Substack content—including this podcast—will be free.
The paid subscription remains available so that those who feel resourced and called to support this work can do so.
If you’re currently under-resourced, please use the free resources fully. They are there for you.
One important thing, though: Treat them like you paid for it
People tend to take what they pay for more seriously because money = sacrifice and sacrifice tends to yield commitment. I’m taking you seriously. I need you to take yourself seriously too. Now let’s get into the meat…
The “Game Your Goals” Framework
This time of year naturally brings reflection on what worked, what didn’t, what you want next. I love that process. What I don’t love is hustle culture’s approach to goals: urgency, nervous system burnout, capitalism disguised as productivity.
We’re not doing that anymore. Instead, I want to offer you a different framework, one I call Game Your Goals. Here’s the framework:
1. Clarify the goal + why it matters
Don’t just name the goal. Feel it. Your emotions are data. They inform better thinking when you listen to them.
2. Identify the skills that fund the goal
List 3–5 skills that, if developed, would guarantee progress. Then choose the one you’re most interested in working on. Interest beats discipline every time.
3. Choose the tiniest daily action
Ask yourself: Can I do this on my worst day, in my worst mood? If yes, that’s the habit.

Ready To Go Deeper?
I’m looking for creators, visionaries, and innovators who feel invisible, stuck, or unsupported by their environments.
My work is about helping you see who you are, remove internal bottlenecks, and safely move through identity shifts that feel like death (because they low-key are).
If you’re ready for deep (i.e. scary, but important) transformational work send me a message at the link below:
✋🏽 I’m scared but I’m ready to get started button
I also offer Genius Mapping Sessions which is a 90-Min session where I help you identify where your energetic bottlenecks are + create a strategic breakthrough plan.
✌🏽That’s today’s session. I hope it gave you something useful to think with this week.
I’ll see you in these internet streets.
